Overview
Sussex Energy Limited is a small, UK registered, E&P company whose recent focus has primarily been on building oil and gas related opportunities in the UK Central North Sea
The Sussex Energy team comprises Richard Morgan, Nigel Platt and David Went, who bring over 70 years of combined UK and international exploration, development and commercial experience, as well as established profiles as proven oil-finders. The team’s excellent reputation, industry credentials and contacts across government and industry have been built in a range of successful roles. These include technical consultancy, contracting and oil company positions covering exploration and development operations, technology development, as well as commercial, procurement and project management
In their most recent previous roles, from 2003-2007 the team built a UK exploration and appraisal asset portfolio at VeritasDGC Limited, where they defined, oriented and implemented strategy, identifying and managing a broad range of North Sea exploration and appraisal assets through joint venture partnerships with established independents and successful licence applications
The Enovation Group will initially focus its North West Europe activities within the UKCS North Sea where the Sussex team has a track record of generating and commercialising material new prospects within productive and underexploited plays which have the potential to hold significant reserves. The team is fully committed to the progress of the Enovation group towards achieving North Sea operator status for further growth and value. Meanwhile, the Sussex name will continue to be used in the UK, where Enovation expects to hold exploration and production licences as Sussex Energy Limited
